Eligibility Criteria for The University of Idaho Scholarships

If you like to be considered for this opportunity, you need to meet the eligibility criteria mentioned as under:

You need to be a first-year international applicant to the University of Idaho.
You attend (or you have graduated from) a secondary school outside of the U.S.
You need to show interest and personal initiative in activities that involve intercultural learning and exchange.
You should complete the scholarship application plus a 500 to 1000-word essay or a 2 to 5-minute video that describes your aspirations to conduct research, projects, employment, or other experiences that will boost (advance) intercultural learning.

Financial Benefits

The University of Idaho offers two annual, renewable scholarships for up to 4 years of study which are worth 50% of tuition at the time of initial matriculation.

Maintenance of Scholarship

This scholarship is renewable. Therefore, it can be renewed for up to 4 years (fall and spring semesters only).
Students should participate in at least 10 hours per semester of cultural sharing and engagement with the local community via an internship program with the international program office.
They need to maintain a cumulative GPA of a minimum of 3.0.
They should enroll and successfully complete at least 12 credits (exceptions can be granted) for fall and spring semesters.
