About the World Health Summit (WHS)

It is a renowned international platform for world health. WHS brings together stakeholders from science, politics, the private sector, and civil society from all over the world to set the agenda for a healthy future and well-being for everyone.

It strengthens exchange and stimulates novel solutions to health challenges, fosters world health as a key political issue, and promotes the world health debate in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals spirit. The World Health Summit is conducted in Berlin each October with approximately 3,000 participants on-site and over 10,000 online. Apart from the main conference (summit), annual HS regional meetings are also held in various parts of the world.

Eligibility Criteria for WHS 2025 Stipend Program

To be considered for the program, the applicants must meet the eligibility criteria. The applicants must:

Possess the nationality of and has to live in a low-or-middle-income country according to the World Bank categorization for 2024-2025 or show a unique lived experience perspective related to the WHS 2025 Program

Be able to apply for a short-term Schengen visa

Complete each item of the application form with the following documents to be provided

CV
Personal information, including nationality country, and residence
Motivation letter (minimum of one page with font size 11 and maximum two pages)
Activity proof in world health (such as advocacy group membership, work, recommendation letter)
Sufficient proof of English proficiency since the WHS conference will be held in English

Financial Coverage for the World Health Summit 2025 Stipend Program

Roundtrip economy class flights to and from Berlin
Hotel stay (for 4 nights inclusive of breakfast from 11^th to 15^th October) within walking distance of the World Health Summit venue
WHS will provide the World Health Summit 2025 registration (food and beverages included)
Miscellaneous expenses will be covered (reimbursement up to €200 will be provided) for example for transport within Berlin
WHS will cover visa and passport costs (reimbursement up to €200 will be provided)
Stipend recipients will be invited by the WHS to participate in the World Health Summit’s kick-off reception on 11^th October ahead of the WHS 2025 Summit.
