It is a public research university located in the city of Manchester in the United Kingdom. The main campus of the university is South of Manchester City Centre on Oxford Road. Eligibility Criteria for Manchester University Scholarships 2023/24

The university offers the scholarship opportunities to those students who are not only talented but also from disadvantaged backgrounds. If interested to apply, you are required to follow the following conditions:

Only the resident citizens of Malawi, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Uganda and Zimbabwe are eligible to apply.
They have not studied earlier outside of Africa (training of 6 months or less does not count).
They need to possess minimum of two years of professional experience relevant to their chosen field of study (note that this does not include voluntary work or unpaid internships).
The candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree and have graduated before September 2021. The degree will be with an overall excellent grade.
Since the scholarships are exceptional students, and this means that the applicants should be in the top 10% of their class.
The candidates should be committed to returning to their countries and have to be able to show the potential to register a positive impact on the future of their country.
They have to possess an idea of how studying at the University of Manchester will benefit both their career and the wider community.

Financial Benefits for Manchester University Scholarships for International Students 2023

There are financial benefits involved with this opportunity, if chosen. The successful students will receive full tuition fees coverage. And for the students who will be studying in the city of Manchester, the scholarships also consist of return international air tickets, visas and living expenses.

Required English Requirements

Since the English language proficiency is required, but the university lets you submit your applications without IELTS or TOEFL test results. But the shortlisted candidates for interview will be required to take an approved English test.

Remember that each Master’s course carries its own English requirements for the test scores, thus you are required to check course profiles for more details.

In majority of the cases, the applicants need to have a minimum 6.5 test score for IELTS (with no sub-test less than 5.5) or for TOEFL it should be 90 (with no sub-test less than 22), if you are interested in obtaining the scholarship. The university does not grant any exemptions from English language tests, and it also does not accept English language proficiency certificate issued from students’ universities.
