As far as the scholarships are concerned, half are valued at $120,000 designated for engineering scholarships whereas half are valued at $100,000 for science and math scholarships. Every high school in Canada can make a nomination for one graduating student each year to apply for Schulich Leader Scholarships.

Participating Universities Under the Schulich Foundation Scholarship

As mentioned earlier in the post, each year 100 scholarships are conferred. These scholarships are awarded to students annually across 20 partner universities located in Canada. Eligibility Criteria for Schulich Scholarship 2024

These are undergraduate scholarships. If you would like to apply or win this opportunity, you need to meet the eligibility standards.

Applicants should be citizens of Canada or permanent residents of Canada.
They should be graduating high school or cégep in Canada in the academic year 2023-24.
They plan to enroll in an eligible STEM program available or offered at any of 20 partner universities.
They should be academically excellent and have leadership, creativity, and charisma.
It is worth noting that strong consideration will be given to those students who show financial need.
They need to be entrepreneurial-minded and intend to pursue a career in one or more of the below-mentioned focus areas namely Technology, Entrepreneurship and Business Enterprise, Engineering, and Applied Scientific Research.

Note: Students will not be considered who:

Put a focus on activism (environmental/societal/political)
Would like to become a medical researcher and/or a practicing physician (e.g., Dentist, Doctor, Psychologist, Nurse, Pharmacist, Optometrist, etc.)
Have the intention of becoming a professor or conducting theoretical research.

Monetary Value of Schulich Leader Scholarships

For students who are pursuing an engineering degree, an amount of $120,000 has been designated. For students pursuing a science, technology, or math degree, an amount of $100,000 has been designated.

Application Deadlines (Important Dates)

The following dates should be taken into consideration if you really like to apply for the program.

30^th January 2024 – It is the deadline for schools to submit nominees
20^th February 2024 – It is the deadline for nominees to submit applications for Schulich Leader Scholarships.
15^th June 2024 – Winners of the scholarships will be finalized.

CEGEPs/High Schools make a selection of students to be their Schulich Leader Nominees (cégeps have the option to select up to four nominees).
