Eligibility Criteria for Leeds Beckett University Scholarships for International Students
If you would like to be eligible for the Leeds School of Arts Scholarships, you must:
- Be assessed as an overseas fee-paying student
- Be assessed as holding an ‘overseas or EU’ residency status
- Be studying the related program (course) full-time
- Be enrolled actively in an eligible program
- Be a self-funded student, who is paying the full course fee (full program fee) for that year (it is to be noted that students, whose tuition fees are paid by a third-party sponsor or their employers, or government agency, will not be eligible)
- Studying that level of study program (course) for the first time (i.e., not repeating any level during that year)
Special Note: Additionally, they are required to meet the course-specific criteria as available on the official announcement of the scholarship. It means that apart from the above-mentioned eligibility requirements, you also need to meet the eligibility criteria for the study program you choose for yourself.
Ineligibility for Leeds School of Arts Scholarships 2024
Applicants will be held ineligible for the scholarships if any of the following apply to them:
- If they are part-time students
- Schemes or courses where particular rates or payment arrangements exist (like those relating to overseas/franchise/partner-based delivery or any other special arrangement)
- Any repeat year
- Those students who are on distance learning courses
- Any year where the student is out on placement
- Those students who are studying PGCert or PGDip programs
- Those students who are doing the LLM Lega Practice course
- Those students who are studying DBA (Doctorate of Business Administration), Research by Published Works, or Doctorate of Education (EdD)
Funding Availability (Scholarships for Postgraduate Students)
Successful students will receive a 50% postgraduate fee scholarship. The awards will be offered to full-time postgraduates (taught Master’s programs) and applied towards the cost of tuition fees.
Note: if the students are in receipt of a scholarship, they could be eligible to receive another scholarship or bursary provided/offered by the university subject to the terms and conditions of those other schemes. Leeds Beckett University receives the right to withdraw or vary the scholarship at its sole discretion.
