Coming back to the scholarship program, The KTH Joint Programme Scholarship is offered to students participating in a joint study programme. It covers the tuition fee for the period of study spent at KTH.

Eligibility Criteria

  • As far as the KTH Joint Programme Scholarship requirements are concerned, applicants need to meet the requirements. The applicants must be fee-paying students according to the definition of University Admissions, the Swedish national application system. Applicants are also required to attend one or two semesters at KTH starting in autumn 2025 as part of one of the below-mentioned joint programmes.
  • Innovative Sustainable Energy Engineering (Nordic Five Tech)
  • Computer Simulations for Science and Engineering (COSSE)
  • ICT Innovation (EIT Digital): only EIT Digital students who meet this criterion are eligible: 1) first semester at KTH (round 1 applicants) or third semester at KTH Royal Institute of Technology, 2) have paid the registration fee by 3rd April for students their first semester at KTH, 3) do not have a scholarship (complete or partial) from EIT Digital consortium.
  • Polymer Technology (Nordic Five Tech)
  • DENSYS, (Erasmus+), Decentralized Smart Energy Systems: only DENSYS students who do not have an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship or a scholarship from the consortium of DENSYS are eligible.

Note: Those who are going to apply for the master’s study programmes in Molecular Techniques in Life Science, Innovative Technology for Healthy Living (EIT Health), or Biostatistics and Data Science are not eligible for this scholarship opportunity. They are advised to apply for the KTH Scholarship instead. Those students wishing to apply for the master’s programmes in Mathematics have to apply for a scholarship via Stockholm University. Besides, those students admitted to an EIT programme not listed above and those holding an Erasmus Mundus Scholarship are not eligible for the KTH Joint Programme Scholarship.

Criteria for Selection for KTH Royal Institute of Technology Joint Programme Scholarship

This opportunity will be conferred based on the academic excellence of the applicants and the below-mentioned criteria.

  • Applicant’s GPA or equivalent
  • University’s ranking that awarded the bachelor’s degree to the applicant
  • Earlier (previous) studies within the joint programme (students attending KTH for their second year)

KTH Joint Programme Scholarship Amount

Successful students will get the tuition fee coverage for their study period to be spent at KTH. The scholarship does not include living expenses.

Deadline to Submit the Applications

For studies in Autumn 2025, the application period will open on 1st April 2025 and last till 15th April 2025. It is advised to avoid late applications and apply within the time frame.

Application Procedure for KTH Joint Programme Scholarship

Those applicants attending KTH for the first year of a study programme and have not submitted the application through universityadmissions.se have to send scans of their original bachelor’s degree plus transcripts (including official translations if the documents are not in English) to info@kth.se during the application period (from 1st April to 15th April 2025).

Those who are attending KTH for the second year need to send scans of the original transcripts from their first year of studies within the joint programme to info@kth.se.
