Eligibility for Iowa State University of Science and Technology International Student Excellence Award

Eligible candidates are those who are incoming international first-year applicants offered admission (who have been offered admission).
Since this is an automatic scholarship, thus, there is no separate application for the scholarship required. It is for those who meet the specific GPA and SAT/ACT combination.
This scholarship cannot be combined with Iowa’s international merit scholarship.

Financial Benefits for Iowa State University of Science and Technology Scholarships

President’s Award for International Student Excellence	$48,000 ($12,000/year)

Note: First-year scholarship recipients will be provided with the funding for a maximum of 8 semesters, or completion of the degree whichever comes first.

Requirements for Scholarship Renewal

If you like to renew (maintain) your scholarship, you need to meet the eligibility mentioned ahead.

While the students are enrolled at Iowa State University of Science and Technology for the President’s Award, they should show a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0.
While the students are enrolled at Iowa State University of Science and Technology for the Dean’s Award, the minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) required to maintain the scholarship is 2.5.
Their continuous enrollment is at least 12 semester credits each semester (summer will not be included) will be required.
Only those students assessed as international students will be eligible for this award.
This award will only be used towards students’ undergraduate tuition and fees.
