  • Perform archival research – digital and on-field

  • Based on a full-time position, the successful candidate will be offered a monthly gross salary of € 2,901 in the first year, up to a maximum of monthly gross € 3,707 in the final year
  • An 8.3% year-end allowance will be offered
  • The candidate will be offered a temporary 1.0 FTE appointment for a specified period of 4 years. Initially, the candidate will be appointed for one year. After 6 months, the assessment will be done on the candidate’s results and PhD project’s progress to decide whether the employment will be continued.
  • The successful candidate will be expected to conduct a total of 0.4 FTE teaching spread over the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th year of the appointment
  • Outstanding work-life balance will be offered
  • The candidate should be willing to move and live in the Netherlands

Note: On 1st September/October 2025, the appointment will start at the very latest, whereas the university allows three months from selection in case of visa process/visa applications.
