Eligibility Criteria for the FAO Internship Programme 2024
- The eligible candidates who can apply must be the nationals of FAO Members.
- Only the students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree programmes in a bona fide institution at the time of application or the ones who are recent graduates can apply.
- Applicants must be equipped with the knowledge of a minimum of one FAO official language such as English, Spanish, French, Chinese, Arabic, or Russian. Besides, knowledge of a second official language of FAO will be considered an asset.
- At the beginning of the internship programme, the age of the interns should be between 21 to 30 years (for example, the internship should begin before the intern turns 31).
- Interns (selected candidates) need to be able to adapt to an international multicultural environment, be conversant with the basic use of computers, and possess good communication skills.
- Before the beginning of the internship programme, candidates/interns should have appropriate residence or immigration status in the country of assignment.
- If the family members of the applicants/candidates (like brother, sister, father, or mother) are employed by FAO under any type of contract, they will be considered ineligible for this programme.

Funding Facility/Available Benefits under FAO Internship
- Successful interns will be provided with a stipend in local currency which is not exceeding US$ 700 per month.
- As for the stipend for sponsored interns, it will be provided directly by the sponsoring institutions. Interns are responsible for their own accommodation.
- Medical coverage will be provided related to service-incurred with FAO paying the full premium.
