The candidates will be expected to undertake the Assistantship duties (such as RPL assessment, practical lab development, grading of Bachelor units, lecturing, lab demonstration, etc.) on campus for at least 12 hours per week. They will be paid the applicable hourly rate of AUD$32 approximately for their duties performed under the Assistantship.

Eligibility Criteria for the EIT Doctorate Research Scholarship
- You need to meet EIT academic entry requirements for the scholarship.
- The applicants are also required to meet or exceed the English proficiency requirements.
- They need to be presently enrolled in EIT’s DEng program either as a full-time student or have been offered a place and they have accepted the offer to study the DEng program (full-time) at Engineering Institute of Technology.
- In their highest completed qualification, the candidates must have at least an average score of 75%.
- They must not be the recipient of any other EIT scholarship except the Assistantship.
- They have to maintain a minimum ‘credits’ grade for all units while they study in the Doctor of Engineering program at EIT for ongoing scholarship eligibility.
- They have not to be involved in any level 2 or higher academic misconduct for ongoing eligibility of scholarship.
- The candidates/applicants do not have any outstanding tuition fees owing to the Engineering Institute of Technology (EIT Australia).
- In their progress report, they have to obtain satisfactory feedback from their supervisors.
Financial Benefits Under EIT Doctorate Research Scholarship
- The coverage for tuition fees will be offered by EIT for each semester. It must be noted that the scholarship will only be applicable to the term/semester. At the end of each semester/term, the applicant/student has to re-apply to be considered for the upcoming (following) term/semester. They have to meet the eligibility criteria and conditions of the scholarship.
- EIT Australia will offer 4 scholarships per semester. It has to be noted that when multiple applications are received and they meet the eligibility criteria, the panel of the scholarship will choose 4 recipients based on their professional achievements and higher academic grades.
- 2 scholarships are available for the Perth, WA Campus whereas 2 scholarships are offered for Melbourne, VIP Campus.

How to Apply (Future Students) for These Doctorate Research Scholarships
- Interested applicants are advised to go through the details on the official announcement and learn everything including the application process. They should complete and submit the Scholarship Application Form coupled with (along with) their course application.
- Those who have already submitted their course application can nonetheless send in their scholarship application to scholarships@eit.edu.au
- For scholarship applications, the cut-off date is 6 weeks before the commencement of the program or the next semester.
- You need to pay an AUD$100 application fee for the scholarship.
