Eligibility Criteria for Commonwealth Professional Fellowships 2025

• Prospective fellows have to meet the eligibility standards set for these fellowships.
• The applicants have to be citizens of or have been granted refugee status by eligible commonwealth countries, or they should be British-protected persons.
• They need to be permanent residents of the eligible countries of the commonwealth.
• They need to possess a minimum of 5 years of full-time or equivalent part-time relevant work experience in a profession that should be related to the subject of the fellowship program by the proposed beginning of the fellowship program. This has to be noted that voluntary work experience will not be taken into consideration towards this minimum.
• The candidates need to be in employment by the time of application at an organization that they will return to upon fellowship completion.
• They are required to provide at least two references – one of which has to be from their present employer. It is worth noting that any applications without any references (for which the references are not received by the deadline) will not be considered and held ineligible.
• They must not have undertaken a Commonwealth Professional Fellowship within the time of the last 5 years (at the time of starting or taking up the award).
• They must not be searching for undertaking an academic program of research or study. This is to be noted that the academics are eligible to apply for these fellowships, but only to undertake programs of academic management, not research or courses related to their research subject.
• The candidates must be available to undertake/start their fellowship from the prescribed commencement date.

• You will be offered an approved return air ticket from a fellow’s home country to the United Kingdom.
• You will be offered a stipend (living allowance) of £2,057per month, or £2,553 per month for those at organizations in the area of London metropolitan.
• You will receive a reimbursement for a standard visa application.
