Eligibility (Qualifying) Criteria for Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship
Applicants will be awarded the appropriate funding automatically as long as they meet the university’s eligibility criteria as mentioned and defined in the terms and conditions (applicants are advised to read carefully before applying). The following includes, but is not limited to:
- Candidates should submit their application to the university by 31st July 2024
- They need to accept their offer and pay any applicable deposit by 30th June 2024 unless their deposit deadline is after this date, in which case, their deposit has to be paid by their initial deposit deadline and their offer accepted within 14 days of it being made
- They hold an offer for an eligible postgraduate taught program (course)

Terms and Conditions for Cardiff University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship
The scholarship or award will be paid in the form of a tuition fee discount. It is worth noting that there will be no cash alternative available and the scholarship/award cannot be used in place of any required deposit. It is available to full-time students who will begin their studies in autumn 2024. The scholarship will not be used for any other year of entry.
Candidates have to be confirmed as overseas students for fee-paying purposes and they need to be self-funding international students. This opportunity will not be offered to students who are receiving any funding from external bodies like charities, local government, or private organizations.
Available Funding
The available funding is between £3,500 – £10,000 for eligible postgraduate taught students (details of the funding are available above under the eligible countries list). The award will be offered in the form of a tuition fee discount.

How to Apply and Deadline for Cardiff University Vice-Chancellor’s International Scholarship
Eligible countries applicants who accept their offers for chosen postgraduate programs and who pay any required deposit by the date specified on their offer letter will be taken into consideration automatically for this scholarship opportunity.
