Eligibility Criteria

If you are interested and want to earn the opportunity, you need to prove your eligibility. Check below criteria and see if you are fit.

You need to be an international applicant.
You should be a student (but not a doctorate/PhD candidate) in chemistry, physics, material science or any related fields.
At university level, you must have completed minimum two years of full-time study in your major field.
During your stay at HZB, the students will remain registered as a student.
You should possess command over English language; besides, the knowledge of German will be a plus or an advantage.
By the end of the application period, the applicants are required to hand in a letter of reference.

Financial Coverage

The successful students will be provided with financial benefits. Following is what you will receive:

8 weeks’ internship contract to work on a project.
The students will also be provided with a subsistence allowance for the entire contract duration of 1800€ gross for external participants and 1000€ gross for students of the universities situated in the cities of Berlin and Potsdam.
The successful applicants will also be provided with travel expenditures which are subsidized up to an amount of 500€ to help the students with their expenses of travel between their residence and Berlin in Germany.
