Applicants must either be domestic or international students
They must possess a bachelor’s degree (if they would like to apply for a master’s degree) from a recognized university or a master’s degree (if they would like to apply for a doctoral degree) from a recognized university.

Note: Actual requirements must be checked at the selected universities.

Funding Availability

Under the Australian Government Research Training Program (RTP) Scholarship, successful students will be provided with one or more of the following coverage.

Tuition fee coverage
Allowances relevant to the ancillary cost of HDRs
A stipend for general living expenses

Note: RTP Scholarships will be offered for a minimum of three years and up to a maximum of four years at the discretion of the university (HEP) for students pursuing a research doctorate at a full-time student load, and for a minimum of six years up to a maximum of eight years for research doctorate students studying at a part-time student load.

For those pursuing a research master’s degree, RTP scholarships will be offered for up to two years to students studying at a full-time load, whereas scholarships will be offered for up to 4 years to those students studying at a part-time load.
