Jodhpur court announced its verdict in blackbuck poaching case – Salman is JAILED for 5-years

The final verdict of the blackbuck poaching case has come up announcing 5-year jail to the actor Salman Khan. The decision of the Jodhpur court is really shocking for his family, Bollywood and in particular for the actor’s fans. The court also imposed Rs. 10,000 fine on him. Post the verdict of 5-year sentence to Salman Khan, the security has been tightened outside. The reports have it that Salman’s lawyer will move to higher court now.

The judge found Salman Khan guilty in this blackbuck poaching case but acquitted Saif Ali Khan, Sonali Bendre, Karishma Kapoor and Tabu. Salman Khan was the main accused in this case of killing the two blackbucks. It happened during the shoot of Rajshi Productions’ movie ‘Hum Saath Saath Hain’ in 1998.

Salman’s family was present at the court along with other accused – Saif, Sonali, Karishma and Tabu. His sister Alvira Agnihotri started weeping by the time the judge announced his verdict on the case.

In 1998 while the shooting of Hum Saath Saath Hain was going on in Jodhpur, the local Bishnoi community found two blackbucks dead and they reported the incident to the police. The investigation revealed that the cast of the movie was riding the jeep in the area and hunting. In a statement, the local onlooker confirmed that it was Salman Khan who fired on the blackbucks.
